Staff Accountant.

Location: Cincinnati, OH Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually (higher compensation may be considered for candidates with strong industry experience) Property Accountant A growing real estate organization is seeking a Property Accountant to join its corporate accounting team in Cincinnati. This position will be responsible for general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily real estate assets. Key Responsibilities Maintain general ledger accounts, including preparation and posting of journal entries and cash receipts. Identify, research, and correct accounting discrepancies and coding issues. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities. Perform account reconciliations, including cash, receivables, payables, accruals, intercompany transactions, and lender obligations. Analyze financial variances and provide timely reporting and recommendations. Collaborate with onsite property management teams regarding financial performance and reporting. Ensure accounting processes and deadlines are consistently met. Support ad hoc accounting, reporting, and special projects. Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to support operational and financial objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience required. Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Property accounting experience highly preferred. Experience within real estate, construction, development, property management, multifamily housing, commercial real estate, or related industries strongly preferred. Experience with Yardi software is a significant plus. Familiarity with accounting systems such as Yardi, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP/accounting platforms.
