Bookkeeper
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves a mix of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) tasks, with some journal entry work. We are open to candidates with experience in either AP or AR, though both are preferred. Proficiency in QuickBooks and manual invoicing is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable operations.
- Perform journal entry tasks as required.
- Operate efficiently using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks.
- Handle a significant amount of manual invoicing.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and documentation.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting roles involving AP, AR, and bookkeeping.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The role is based in an industrial construction supply company, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment. Experience in construction or manufacturing is beneficial.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Hyattsville, MD.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
