Microsoft Endpoint Subject Matter Expert, Hybrid Remote (DW26061214C)

GTSC Datawiz seeks a Microsoft Endpoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mid-August 2026 start. Commitment to start must be by 30 June in order to complete background checks required for this position. Location : This is a local remote position in the metropolitan Washington DC area. However, you must be available to support onsite work as required. Mission Your role is responsible for Windows endpoint engineering, identity integration, and device lifecycle automation using Microsoft enterprise toolsets. The position focuses on secure configuration, policy enforcement, and identity-driven endpoint management — not Tier 1 support. Education : Expertise matters. There is no degree requirement. Core Responsibilities Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune policies Enforce endpoint security baselines and compliance policies Manage identity integration with Active Directory Implement Conditional Access and passwordless authentication Manage and enforce Group Policy (GPO) Support device provisioning and enrollment workflows Endpoint lifecycle management and asset tracking Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated endpoint and identity issues Produce engineering artifacts, including remediation plans and validation reports Required Expertise Minimum 8 years IT / endpoint / identity engineering experience. Minimum 6 years performing enterprise engineering (not help desk). Technical Expertise Deep experience implementing endpoint security baselines and identity-driven access controls. Hands‑on experience with Group Policy (GPO) and device provisioning and enrollment workflows. Strong understanding of enterprise endpoint security architectures and identity and access management integration. Successful Applicants Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Must successfully complete required background investigation and security training.
