Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certifications: One or more of the following: - Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date. - Basic Life Support Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date. - Advanced Cardio Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Certified Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date. Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
