Job Summary:
The Med Surg RN provides patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, managing stable patients with diverse medical conditions. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing services and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions to identify urgent needs.
• Administer medications, IV starts, and treatments following protocols.
• Document patient care accurately within the MEDITECH electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for care planning.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in North Carolina, current at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform IV starts and manage patient care efficiently.
• Ability to work day shifts, with some weekends and holidays required.
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
