Garage Door Service Technician
Overhead Door Company of Akron is looking for an experienced Garage Door Service Technician who knows how to diagnose problems, work efficiently, and leave every job better than they found it.
If you've got a strong background in residential garage doors and enjoy solving problems in the field, this is a great opportunity to join a team that values your skill.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential garage doors and openers
- Troubleshoot springs, cables, sections, and operators
- Perform routine service and preventative maintenance
- Communicate clearly with homeowners and explain solutions
- Complete jobs safely, cleanly, and with attention to detail
This is hands-on work where your experience shows every day.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in garage door service and repair
- Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
- Someone who works independently and takes ownership of their jobs
- Professional, customer-focused attitude
- Valid driver's license

Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a garage door technician or a similar role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various garage door systems.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
