Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sat: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM Sun: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior spaces, public areas, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe visitor movement to help support approved entry procedures, protect restricted areas, and report concerns according to site protocols. Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports, and assist with directing patrons during special events, services, and other high-traffic periods. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid is preferred. The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
