Make an impact by supporting students' growth and development as a contract Occupational Therapist working with local schools. This opportunity spans the full academic year, focusing primarily in the Oroville area with the potential to serve additional sites nearby. Your expertise will contribute to students' success by promoting independence and helping them thrive in the learning environment.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP processes, student assessments, and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned school sites
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver therapeutic services to students on assigned caseload, addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, educational staff, and families to support student goals
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between school locations as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided
