Export Coordinator | New York, NY | Salary: $70,000 The Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing end-to-end export shipments via air and ocean freight, ensuring timely movement of cargo, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong knowledge of international logistics processes, carrier coordination, export compliance, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience coordinating global exports, working with airlines, ocean carriers, customs brokers, and international customers, and understands the operational requirements of both air and ocean freight forwarding. Salary: $70,000 annually Full-time position based in New York, NY Competitive benefits package Opportunity to grow within a global logistics organization Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage international air and ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery Prepare, review, and process export documentation including: Commercial invoices, Packing lists, Air Waybills (AWB), Ocean Bills of Lading (B/L), Export declarations and shipping instructions, Certificates and other required documents Communicate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, and customs brokers to ensure smooth shipment execution Obtain freight rates, prepare quotations, and support customer pricing requests Coordinate cargo pickup, consolidation, routing, and delivery schedules Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and operational issues Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, carrier requirements, and international trade procedures Maintain accurate shipment records within freight forwarding systems Track and update customers on shipment status throughout the transportation process Collaborate with internal operations, sales, and accounting teams to ensure accurate billing and documentation Review vendor invoices and verify charges for accuracy Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction Qualifications & Experience 2+ years of experience in international freight forwarding export operations Strong working knowledge of air and ocean export procedures Experience handling international shipments from booking to delivery Knowledge of export documentation, Incoterms, and international shipping processes Familiarity with freight forwarding software and transportation management systems Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently while collaborating with a global team Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) #J-18808-Ljbffr People Freight | Freight Forwarding & Logistics Recruitment Specialists
