Accountant, Accounts ReceivableThe purpose of this job is to perform routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, as well as prepare various accounting statements, financial reports, and accounts receivable functions for less complex accounts.In this role you will:Prepare, record, verify, analyze, and report receivable transactionsMaintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reportsPrepare analyses and reconciliations to detect fraud, data issues, and adjustmentsEnsure transaction entry verification procedures are followedReview and collect on direct bill or funded transaction; respond to inquiries from external companiesMaintain primary financial data for use in accounting recordsClassify, compute, and record financial informationCheck the accuracy of figures and calculations related to business transactionsPerform cash over short review for assigned store locations in month.When needed, assist in less structured tasks on top of general job responsibilities.We are seeking applicants with a local presence in Knoxville, TN or the surrounding communities. To be considered you must have the legal right to work in United States without additional sponsorshipQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent certification requiredAssociate or Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferredMinimum one year experience in accounting or related area preferredAccounts Receivable experience preferredData entry experience preferredSpecialized Knowledge:Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsFamiliarity with billing and accounting software preferredStrong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsCompetencies:Strong teamwork and problem solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines, work extended hours when necessary, and perform work with a high sense of urgency
