Job Title: MS/Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience Required License: Valid Compact License Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 2 Years Travel Experience as MS/Tele RN Experience with Insulin Administration Experience with Oral Suctioning Experience with Colostomy/Ileostomy Management/Care Experience with Bowel Obstruction Patients Description: This position includes a reduced non-billable orientation of 0 hours. The nurse will be required to float between units based on skill sets. Weekends will be required on an every-other-weekend basis. No on-call duty is required for this assignment. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. It is essential to have a vehicle for this assignment. Floating to other units nearby may occur depending on patient care needs. Special skills required include managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring. This role involves administration of blood products and care for surgical drains. Wound care experience, including wound vac management, is also necessary. The facility supports several interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. Additional experience in IV management and phlebotomy is required. The RN will be accountable for patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to holiday requirements. References from previous employment will be required. Travelers must respond promptly, and communication with interim contacts is discouraged.
