Medical Assistant I Certified-Adult Medicine Clinic (Day 40)

Position Details Requisition #:665934, Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD 21287. Category: Allied Health/Clinical Professional. Employment Type: Full Time. Schedule: Day Shift. Responsibilities The Adult Medicine Clinic is a large, shared‑space, multispecialty clinic with 2 large primary care practices and 10 other specialty care clinics such as pulmonary, lung transplant, lupus, and endocrinology. Certified Medical Assistants provide vital support functions, including rooming, intake, care gap management, vitals, five point‑of‑care tests, EKGs, vaccine and medication administration, diabetic retinopathy imaging, and support for small procedures. They work under the direct supervision of the physician during patient care, maintain an inventory of examination and procedure room supplies, assist in organizing efficient patient flow, organize the clinic environment to assure patient safety, participate in patient education, and record care in the patient medical record. Shift Full time – 40 hours. Day Shift. No weekends. Education High school diploma or equivalent required Licensure / Certification Completion of CMA certification with credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA required prior to hire Valid BLS CPR certification required upon hire; JHH accepts AHA, Red Cross, and military training network Work Experience Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience MA program externship for new medical assistants Benefits Salary Range: Minimum $18.09/hour – Maximum $29.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. The Hospital reserves the right to modify employee schedules as needed.
