Requisition #:661222 Location: Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, Baltimore, MD 21201 Category: Allied Health/Clinical Professional Schedule: Day Shift Employment Type: Full Time Job Overview Johns Hopkins Community Physicians seeks a Medical Assistant to provide high quality care to patients at the Remington Internal Medicine Practice. The role includes administering medications and immunizations, obtaining vital signs, maintaining supplies inventory, ensuring patient flow, tracking high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitating safe transitions of care, organizing the practice environment to assure patient safety and quality outcomes, and contributing to HEDIS and designated quality measures. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant required within 3 months of hire; completion of AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA (NCCT), RCMAS (NCMA), CCMA (NHA) or RMA (American Allied Health) exam. Five or more years of specific MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA exam. Valid CPR certification required upon hire with recertification every two years. Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
