A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.As the Validation Engineer - CONTRACTOR, you will:Perform validation for telematics products by utilizing test benches and vehiclesResponsible for executing basic Sanity, customer found issues, updated specification from customer and Full test cases for assigned sectionsAnalyze test results to determine if product meet specificationsCreate/maintain test cases per product specificationsUtilize tracking system to report and track product defectsTest bench setup / SW updatesField Test / Joint field test with OEMOEM Support (Flashing modules/configuring environment/support drive tests/other requests as needed)Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issuesSupport to resolve technical issuesSupport and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as KoreaOther duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalentAbility to travel up to 30% (domestic and international)Knowledge of: Test bench and vehicle setupTelematics systems technologiesSpecifications and ability to analyze test resultsProcess on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structureHow to interface with the bug tracking systemVehicle communication protocolsAbility to: Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologiesWork across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challengesSit and/or drive in a vehicle for testing up to 8 hours a dayDesire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologiesStrong commitment to quality and attention to detailExcellent written and oral communication skillsPreferred:Background in computer science#LI-SP1Benefits Offered Full-Time Employees:No-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits.Auto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with several investment options.Generous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time.
