What you will be doing

Position Summary:

• Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization.
• Collect, analyze, develop, document, and communicate business requirements.
• Support user testing to achieve business goals.
• Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
• Collaborate with IT professionals to determine existing or feasible solutions.
• Proactively identify technology opportunities impacting corporate business strategies.
• Educate project team members on business unit goals and the value of IT.
• Display innovation in identifying and proposing business solutions.
• Translate between technical and business language to negotiate requirements.
• Understand client’s existing business processes and key drivers of success.
• Align technology solutions with business strategies.
• Support moderately to highly complex business processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain liaison relationships with business partners and IT.
• Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
• Contribute to business planning sessions and provide direction.
• Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process.
• Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications.
• Analyze customer operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in business process redesign and documentation for new technology.
• Provide input for feasibility studies and business case development.
• Develop user test cases and validate test results during testing.
• Investigate problems and develop recommendations for resolution.
• Keep customers informed of problems, issues, and resolutions.
• Analyze performance metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage customers’ expectations and ensure IT solutions meet their needs.
• Coach and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of relevant technical and business work experience.
• Experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes.
• Proficiency in IIBA principles and practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team/group setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Master's degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.
• 6+ years of directly related experience in technical product management or business analysis required.
• Advanced certifications in product management, business analysis, or enterprise architecture preferred.
