Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN House Supervisor/Bed Placement Coordinator for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2 years of house supervisor or transfer center experience.

Details

• Functions as a Bed Placement RN Coordinator within the Admit/Transfer Center
• Night shift, 4x10 hours (20:00-6:30)
• Flexible shift lengths of 10 or 12 hours considered
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units required for this role, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, teaching hospital with 629 staffed beds

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact license required, must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a house supervisor or in a transfer center role required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills in emergency care, crisis intervention/management, emergency preparedness, and facility/bed diversion required
• Clinical practice knowledge across ED, ICU, MS/Tele, NICU, Pediatrics, PICU, and Surgical Services preferred
• Knowledge of inpatient acute care work settings including bed management, new admissions, post-procedure and post-surgery transfers, and escalation processes
• Two professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs or Leads
• Full SSN and DOB required for compliance

Additional Information

• Responsible for bed placement, patient transfers, and coordination between units
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former Providence facility employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No fee for parking
• Scrub color for RNs is any color
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
