Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Associate in Claymont, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service, communication, and professionalism while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity according to site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, lighting, and/or access concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access and crowd flow, and support loss prevention awareness through visible presence and timely reporting of suspicious behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
