Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Area Patrol in New Castle, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, routine patrols, and teamwork. DayTimeWed12:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur12:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat12:00 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic locations to help support loss prevention efforts, observe for policy violations, and report suspicious behavior.
- Assist with de-escalation of customer and/or visitor concerns, provide directions and information, and help support an orderly environment at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
