Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol and Alarm Monitor in Wilmington, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that values integrity, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

DayTimeThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior through visible presence and routine observation across the location.
- Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by monitoring high-traffic areas, reporting concerns, and following post orders related to customer and store operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
