We’re looking for an Aerospace Engineer to support large aircraft modification programs and other advanced aerospace projects.

\n

\n

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Lead weight control plans for large aircraft modifications
\n
• Develop and maintain mass properties databases
\n
• Track aircraft weight, center of gravity, and weight growth
\n
• Build mass properties estimates from CAD data
\n
• Support aircraft weighing activities, forms, and charts
\n
• Develop and author weight & balance reports
\n
• Support conceptual design studies and parametric modeling
\n
• Work with engineering, design, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers
\n
• Provide mass properties support across multiple aerospace programs
\n

Required Experience

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
\n
• Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
\n
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
\n
• Deep knowledge of SAWE RP-7 and RP-8
\n
• Aircraft weighing and weight & balance experience
\n
• Experience with parametric weight estimation
\n
• Experience creating mass properties estimates from CAD data
\n
• Experience supporting conceptual design and parametric modeling
\n
• Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering teams
\n

• Recent AWBS training
\n
• Recent Aircraft Weight & Balance Course training
\n
• Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) experience
\n
• SolidWorks and/or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE
\n
• Model-Based Definition (MBD)
\n
• Parametric design
\n
• Fundamentals of flight mechanics
\n
• Aerospace & Defense experience
\n
• US Department of Defense or military program experience
\n
