X-Ray Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Shifts: Saturday to Monday, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with no on-call rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, along with a high degree of technical competency. This role requires the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity, working with minimum supervision while applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray procedures on patients as per physician instructions.
• Ensure proper positioning and technique to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient care and logistics.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for their radiologic procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
• Current ARRT (R) certification.
• SCRQSA (R) certification and BLS/CPR certification required.
• Fluoroscopy and operating room experience preferred.
• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveling agency.
