Dental Assistant
Join our team as a Dental Assistant in New York, NY, providing comprehensive care under the supervision of a practitioner in various health settings. This is a contract position with a full-time schedule including some weekend rotations. Candidates should have relevant certifications and experience in dental care practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist dentist during exams and treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Record patient information and treatment notes
- Provide post-procedure instructions and oral hygiene education
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean and stocked
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification from a Dental Assistant Program
- CPR Certified
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Knowledge in dental assistant field
- Commitment to improving healthcare status in East Harlem
