Contract Accountant

Contract Accountant Salary: $5,266.00 - $6,591.00 per month. New to state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Under general supervision of the Accounting Administrator III, the Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs professional accounting tasks that include knowledge of general accounting principles and practices related to subordinate loan purchases, general ledger activities, account reconciliation, cash receipts and disbursements, and mortgage loan administration. Desirable Qualifications Experience reconciling bank accounts Experience reviewing accounting documents for accuracy Experience administering funds for loans Experience preparing accounting reports Experience resolving accounting discrepancies Skills in building relationships Working Conditions Hybrid telework schedules are available, but in‑person attendance will be required weekly.
