Manufacturer is seeking an HR Manager to oversee and improve all human resources and safety duties for the facility. Daily you will be responsible for the following human resources functions:
- Evaluate, further develop and improve strategic plan of human resources for the facility
- Lead, coach and oversee an HR Generalist
- Facilitate recruitment plan for the plant, including conducting hourly hiring and interviewing
- Work with third party safety vendor to ensure that plant safety goals and training are completed
- Communicate at executive, manager and staff levels to resolve HR inquiries and concerns
- Partner with operations on HR and safety-related projects and communication
- Coach and mentor staff on HR-related concerns
- Oversee benefits administration and open enrollment
- Establish and improve HR practices based on data and analysis
- Manage the day-to-day HR operations and operate in a hands-on capacity
- Empower and coach the HR team to meet their individual and team goals
- Manage multiple HR projects at a time
- Utilize the company ATS (applicant tracking system) for documentation and reporting
- Lead and conduct employee relations, including needed investigations and resolving employee conflict
- Complete daily HR functions as needed to support the team
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
This is a great opportunity to work for a stable manufacturer and maintain and improve their plant HR processes. This is a hands-on management position; candidates must be willing to perform frontline HR functions. Candidates should be polished and professional while communicating at all levels. Individuals should feel comfortable on the manufacturing floor on a daily basis. The qualified candidate must be willing to spend up to 25-30% on safety-related projects and initiatives.
Requirements for the Manufacturing HR Manager:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of similar HR leadership experience
- Manufacturing HR experience
- Experience recruiting hourly and salary positions
- Willingness to oversee plant safety functions
- Strong employee relations experience
- Experience working with HRIS systems
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Teams
Skills preferred but not required:
- Supervision of others
- Experience working with Kronos
- HR certifications
- BWC and/or FMLA experience
- Safety experience
