Food Safety and Quality Manager (Dairy Manufacturing)Toft Dairy: 3717 Venice Road, Sandusky, OH 44870Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMPosition SummaryThe Food Safety and Quality Manager oversees all food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, laboratory operations, and employee training programs. This position ensures compliance with food safety regulations while supporting product quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and oversee Food Safety Plans, SOPs, quality programs, and documentationEnsure compliance with FDA, state, local, and company food safety requirementsLead internal, customer, and third-party auditsServe as the primary contact during external audits and inspectionsManage food safety, GMP, quality, and compliance training programsInvestigate customer complaints and implement corrective actionsPerform microbiological, allergen, environmental, and quality testingMonitor plant sanitation, product quality, and regulatory complianceMaintain laboratory records, equipment calibration, and testing dataManage nonconforming products and root cause investigationsOrder laboratory supplies and maintain laboratory organizationPartner with production and farm operations to support quality improvement initiativesPromote a strong food safety culture throughout the facilityQualificationsBachelor 's degree required; Food Science, Dairy Manufacturing, or related field preferredFood manufacturing experience strongly preferredHACCP, GFSI, and/or PCQI experience preferredStrong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systemsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentPhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs.Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facilityWork in production, cooler, freezer, and wet environmentsAbility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededBenefitsCompetitive full-time payOvertime opportunitiesMedical insurance with prescription coverageDental, vision, and life insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time, and holidays401(k) with company matchAbout Toft DairyFor more than 125 years, Toft Dairy has proudly served Northern Ohio as Ohio's oldest dairy.
