Who We Are Looking For:

Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Production Shift Supervisor to be based out of our Dallas, TX manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this person will be responsible for supervising production associates and processes that have responsibility for manufacturing PVC Pipe products.

What You'll Do:

• Lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management within their teams and utilize Lean tools for improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity performance.
• Develop plans and implement strategies to improve the engagement, alignment, and performance of the production team members.
• Instill and maintain a positive "can-do" team atmosphere within the team by holding regular team meetings, assigning tasks to team members, empowering team member decision-making, and coordinating support services.
• Implement cross training activities to ensure proper function of the production lines and maximize team's potential.
• Develop and coach team members with necessary skills to identify problems and challenges, perform root cause analyses and implement countermeasures and solutions as necessary.
• Control and optimize labor, materials and equipment utilization to achieve production goals.
• Ensure team members are meeting safety standards, production schedules, and quality specifications.
• Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
• Lead by example and live the Atkore Values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in plastic pipe/conduit extrusion strongly preferred.
• High energy, strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and ability to work additional hours based on business needs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including conflict resolution.
• Continuous improvement background (lean, WCM, GMP, etc.) and the passion to grow your lean experience.
• Ability to thrive in an environment focused on problem solving throughout the day.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $65,040 - $89,430. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
