Resnick Distributors sells a full range of products to convenience stores, specialty shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. We are one of the most successful and well-respected companies in the industry. Our corporate headquarters is located at 25 Van Dyke Avenue near the New Brunswick Park and Ride and the New Jersey Avenue train station. We have free on-site parking.
About the Job
This position reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Performing day to day financial transactions, such as calculating, verifying, classifying, posting and recording accounts payable data.
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Prioritizing invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
- Performing vendor and bank reconciliations.
- Recording and tracking prepaid expenses.
- Auditing monthly credit card expenses and supporting documents.
About You
- Two years or more experience in accounts payable and working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Solid knowledge of 1099 compliance and other regulatory requirements
