Accounting Manager

Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting Analyze, review, verify, and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records Investigate and correct accounting entries as needed Prepare and/or review internal and external reports and ad hoc analyses Support the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring billing accuracy and timeliness Maintain the billing system and generate and send invoices Maintain client invoicing and bill payment records Monitor aging balances and assess collectability Ensure revenue recording complies with U.S. GAAP Assist internal and external auditors with periodic audits of financial records and statements Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to manage cash flow Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government and tax requirements Oversee, mentor, and support the growth of assigned Finance staff Administer departmental policies and procedures, evaluate performance, and assist with budgets, strategic plans, and policies Perform special projects and other assigned duties Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations Prior leadership, supervisory, or project leadership experience preferred Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required CPA preferred In-depth understanding of accounting concepts and principles Ability to read, understand, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies Ability to lead and direct the work of other employees, with authority for personnel decisions Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner Flexibility to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment High attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service Ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures Strong leadership and management skills Strong presentation development and delivery skills Strong knowledge of accounting and/or finance Strong judgment and problem-solving skills Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills Strong knowledge of Outlook and Great Plains or equivalent ERP software Strong math skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in accounting principles and practices, including U.S. GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
