Duties & Responsibilities

NYC Health+ Hospitals AP Specialist will provide customer service through several channels of communication across the enterprise. This position is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls as well as email inquiries while utilizing enterprise software and applying policies to solve supplier and facility issues. Provide professional and quality customer service to suppliers, facility personnel and employees through adherence to the department's scripts, and in compliance with corporate policies and procedures Use Cisco-Finesse VoIP application to manage inbound and outbound calls in queue and to optimize caller experience Respond efficiently and accurately to callers explaining possible solutions Utilize knowledge base to resolve inquiries Provide navigation assistance with for PeopleSoft AP module inquiry screens Invoice entry and exception handling as needed Identify and escalate issues as needed Create and maintain Service Now tickets Participate in trainings to stay updated on applicable software

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university; and, 2. One year of experience in business, government, hospital, educational institution or a non-profit organization in analysis, development and implementation of systems, methods and procedures, management information development and data coordination. Familiarity with EDP applications and data processing programs; or, 3. A Masters Degree in Management, Business Administration, Hospital Administration Management, Public Administration, Accounting or relevant field from an accredited college or university; or, 4. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.

Department Preferences

2+ years Experience in managing invoices for a large-scale or in a high-volume setting 2+ years Experience in AP operations 2+ years Experience in exception handling PeopleSoft AP module Customer service delivery Accounts Payable Process AP Certification Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure due to volume and urgent nature of calls Strong technology and computer skills Plans, prioritizes, and organizes work effectively to produce measurable results Strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to deal with demanding requests and escalations
