Global Head, Medical Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance

Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Global Head of Medical Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance to lead safety physicians and shape medical safety strategy across the development pipeline and marketed portfolio. This executive-level role reports to the VP of Drug Safety and serves as a key member of the R&D leadership team, advising senior stakeholders on complex safety and benefit-risk decisions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and advance medical safety strategy across investigational and marketed portfolio
• Lead safety physicians team while developing organizational capabilities and talent
• Represent Drug Safety in senior R&D governance forums and executive decision-making
• Guide integrated approaches to safety surveillance, signal management, and benefit-risk assessment
• Provide senior medical oversight of individual and aggregate safety data review and evaluation

Requirements

• Accomplished safety leader with deep pharmacovigilance expertise and drug development experience
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams of safety physicians
• Strong executive presence and experience advising senior stakeholders on complex safety matters
• Demonstrated expertise in benefit-risk assessment, signal detection, and risk management
• Experience representing drug safety in regulatory interactions with global authorities
• Track record of translating complex safety data into clear strategic recommendations
