A confidential national law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Litigation Associate to join a California-based employment litigation practice supporting employers in high stakes disputes. This role is designed for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation, strong writing, and building practical case strategy in single-plaintiff matters as well as complex wage and hour cases, including representative actions under PAGA.

THE ROLE

- Defend employers in California labor and employment litigation, including single-plaintiff claims

- Handle wage and hour class actions and representative actions, including matters under the Private Attorney General Act (PAGA)

- Draft pleadings, written discovery, and substantive motions

- Manage discovery strategy and support deposition preparation and witness development

- Support hearings, mediations, and trial preparation as matters progress

- Communicate with clients and help drive litigation strategy with attention to detail and deadlines

California (Los Angeles area)

Schedule:

Hybrid, in office 3 days per week

REQUIREMENTS

- 5 to 7 years of California labor and employment litigation experience

- Experience defending employers in single-plaintiff employment matters and wage and hour class or representative actions, including PAGA

- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

- Active California bar admission in good standing

- Excellent legal writing skills, strong attention to detail, and solid academic credentials
