PR Director, Fashion

Account Director, Fashion PR Consulting is a brand strategy and public relations agency that specializes in developing and communicating authentic narratives to position companies and individuals across multi-platform channels.

Our company is currently seeking talented candidates at the Director level to join our Fashion team leading strategic communications planning and programming for global luxury men's and prestigious womenswear clients. Focuses include strategic consulting, execution and management of a team consisting of Jr - Sr. Managers, Coordinators and Assistants.

The ideal candidate must possess a drive to generate and successfully implement strategic and creative ideas while being efficient, effective and professional. This individual must have a positive attitude, a desire to exceed expectations, and an understanding of the cultural landscape. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, able to keep a dynamic team on track at all times.

This candidate will be part of PR Consulting’s Fashion team in New York and report directly to the Vice President. This role is in person Monday – Thursday in our New York City office with remote work on Fridays.

Job Description:

• Oversee a number of brands in the fashion department, managing multiple team members across a range of levels, fostering an environment of creative collaboration and teamwork
• Position will lead and create strategy and campaign development, as well as pitch feature level earned media and spearhead sponsored activations
• Develop and execute comprehensive brand building strategies that are unique to each client’s objectives
• Leverage top tier media relationships across fashion, culture, lifestyle, design, and business – both domestic and international - to secure high level placements across print, broadcast, and digital mediums
• Offer client thoughtful recommendations on communications & marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness
• Position will oversee all earned media editorial strategy and execution and ensure client’s KPIs are met and tasks are being executed at the highest level
• Develop trusting relationships with clients and act as a senior council - troubleshooting and ideating solutions
• The Director will impart structure and best practices across the department, working with a dedicated team on bigger picture strategy + day to day client service
• Manage client and project budgets
• Plan and manage execution of events including managing invitation lists, securing media, managing interview and photographers
• Craft new business proposals and scopes; develop new business alongside agency partners
• Foster agency collaboration between different teams and departments
• Report to the agency partners

Requirements:

• 6-8 years Fashion/Retail/Luxury PR experience
• Relationships with top tier media and a diverse group of KOLs and experience aligning appropriate influencers with brands
• Strong writing communication, leadership and presentation skills; ability to effectively articulate ideas both internally and externally
• Reliable, detail oriented, and able to effectively manage time and complete tasks with speed and efficiency; ability to multitask across various projects and clients
• Ability to manage a range of personalities and crisis situations with calm professionalism
• Evolving knowledge of the digital landscape and ability to oversee social strategy and content calendars
• Can do attitude with the ability to gracefully manage both up and down
• This role is in person Monday – Thursday in our New York City office with remote work on Fridays

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000
