Accounting Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Accounting Specialist to support full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity requiring onsite work daily. We are seeking someone with strong tenure and hands-on experience across both AP and AR. This is a key role in the office as you will be the go to person locally for accounting and office support tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Process invoices, set up new vendors, and maintain vendor records
- Manage bill payments and weekly check runs
- Reconcile AP aging and resolve discrepancies
- Handle employee expense reports
- Prepare and process 1099s
- Accounts Receivable
- Generate billing and invoices
- Manage collections and customer follow-up
- Apply cash and post payments accurately
- Reconcile AR accounts and investigate variances
- General Accounting / Office Support
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end support
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing and ordering office supplies
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of accounting experience with strong AP and AR exposure
- Proven experience with full-cycle AP and AR processes
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite daily
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
