Federal Contract Specialist II

Providing comprehensive acquisition and contract management support, the remote Federal Contract Specialist II will manage cradle-to-grave contracting tasks for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including acquisition planning, solicitation development, and post-award administration. Key responsibilities: Support procurement actions by tracking milestones, providing status updates, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure workflow efficiency Conduct market research, assist in preparing acquisition documentation, and support pre-award activities in compliance with federal regulations Prepare award documentation and manage post-award contract administration, ensuring timely communication and compliance with CDC requirements Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university At least five (5) years of experience in cradle-to-grave contracting Current or previous Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) or civilian equivalent Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and HHS Acquisition Regulation (HHSAR) Experience with contract writing and acquisition systems, including familiarity with CDC's Integrated Contract Expert (ICE) system
