School Registered NurseThe job of School Registered Nurse is done for the purpose of providing the maximum educational opportunity for each student by creating a climate of good health and wellbeing through education, screenings, nursing assessment and medical attention. Essential functions include assuring immunization compliance and disease surveillance, maintaining health records, conducting vision and hearing screenings, managing day to day Health Office activities, training staff on emergency healthcare procedures, maintaining documentation, assisting in reports of suspected child abuse, working with IEP and 504 teams, participating on behavioral health teams, providing faculty training on Bloodborne Pathogen and other areas of health concern, implementing health services in accordance with nursing practice, collaborating with parents/guardians, students, health care providers, and other agencies, designing Health Care Plans, and being able to lift 50 pounds without restrictions.Job Requirements:Mental Requirements:Learning Development- Level DProblem Solving - Level 3Physical Requirements:Physical Skill - Level BPhysical Effort - Level 1Social Requirements:Human Relations Skill- Level BScope of Contacts - Level 2Experience, Education, and Certifications:Experience: Prefer at least two years of clinical RN experience. National School Nurse Certification (Recommended). Evidence of Hepatitis B Series.
