Business Development Representative

Job Description

Heinz HVAC & Plumbing is looking for a business development hunter who builds a book from zero. You will own a territory, open doors with business owners and operations decision-makers, and win recurring service agreements that keep their heating, cooling, and plumbing running.

This role is for someone who has carried a quota, prospected their own pipeline, and closed consultative B2B deals. If you've sold service contracts, equipment, uniforms, waste, security, copiers, payroll, or anything else where you had to find the buyer yourself — you already know the job.

What you'll do

·       Own new-logo growth in a defined territory: prospect, qualify, and close accounts you sourced yourself

·      Run a disciplined outbound cadence — cold calling, walk-in prospecting, LinkedIn, referral partners, and local business networks

·      Get in front of owners, general managers, and operations leaders, and understand what downtime, comfort complaints, and emergency repairs cost them

·      Sell planned maintenance agreements as the entry point, then expand accounts into repair and equipment replacement

·      Build and present proposals with clear options; negotiate terms and close

·      Manage a pipeline in ServiceTitan with accurate stages, forecasts, and next steps

·      Hand off sold work cleanly to our service team, then stay close to the account to drive renewals and expansion

·      Report weekly on activity, pipeline, and closed revenue

What we're looking for

·    3+ years of outside B2B sales with a track record of self-sourced new business

·      Evidence you've hit or beaten a quota — be ready to show numbers

·      Comfortable prospecting daily and hearing "no" without slowing down

·      Consultative seller who can talk to an owner about risk, cost, and uptime — not just price

·      Organized: you run your own calendar, CRM, and follow-up without a manager chasing you

·      HVAC/plumbing knowledge is a plus, not a requirement — we'll teach the product; we can't teach hunger

·      Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; most of your week is in the field

Nice to have

·     Experience selling recurring service contracts or maintenance programs

·      An existing network of business owners and decision-makers in Southwest Indiana

·      CRM experience (ServiceTitan, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
