Registered Nurse - Outpatient Classical Hematology

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8 Hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a classical hematology clinic focused on benign hematological disorders, including bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell disease, and DVTs. This clinic does not manage malignant hematology or oncology cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and triage in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct phlebotomy and central line care.
• Assist with bone marrow biopsies and vaccinations.
• Facilitate patient scheduling for infusions and provide patient education.
• Handle phone triage and case management for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing setting is required.
• Phlebotomy skills are a must.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Preferred certifications: ONS, BMTCN, OCN.
• NC or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable for submission).
