Associate Cook Position at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, AK. Full‑time, 1.0 FTE, 8‑hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week. Under supervision this position is responsible for the preparation of food for residents, patients, staff and special events. Sets up dining areas, washes and sanitizes dishes. Assures that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Required Qualifications National Food Handler Card – State / County / City Authority (upon hire) Preferred Qualifications Coursework or training in food or nutritional training from a school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment. 6 months on‑the‑job training or experience in quantity food preparation, estimating food needed, requisitioning and storing food and supplies, basic principles of dietetics and sanitation and safety in food handling. #J-18808-Ljbffr Providence
