Responsibilities You Will Embrace

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in coordination with physicians
• Providing education to patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies as per scope of practice
• Involved in patient follow-ups and chronic care management initiatives
• Collaborating to ensure integrated, comprehensive care with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Alaska
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
