Industrial Hygiene TechnicianProSidian Seeks a Industrial Hygiene Technician located: Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to provide BOA Support Services for multiple department requirement Service Areas (SA) for Savannah River Remediation LLC (The SRMC/LW Contractor) at the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (DOE-SRS) in Aiken, SC to support the evolving needs of the organization. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Industrial Hygiene Technician at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina.This job posting is for a position that provides field support for the Industrial Hygiene Program. The primary responsibilities include performing field industrial hygiene evaluations, conducting worker exposure assessments for physical and chemical hazards, preparing technical reports, and communicating findings with employees and management. The successful candidate must ensure compliance with Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements regarding exposure to potential physical and chemical hazards to facility personnel. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Perform field industrial hygiene evaluations (e.g., heat strain, chemicals);Perform worker exposure assessments for chemical and physical hazards;Prepare technical reports; andCommunicate issues and results with employees and management in a professional manner. Competencies Required U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States CitizenExcellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.Other Requirements and Conditions of Employment ApplyMay be required to complete a Financial Disclosure StatementMust be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance. Education/Skills: All candidates shall have 3+ years' experience providing industrial hygiene / technician experience, or 5+ years experience troubleshooting or repairing mechanical equipment or electronics.Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint).High school diploma or equivalent required.May be required to drive government vehicles.Will be required to pass testing for Radiological Worker II and maintain IH equipment qualifications. Work Hours: A work week will be up to 40 hours based on assigned schedule. Work week excludes SRS holidays.
