We're looking for a highly skilled Production Supervisor that will be responsible for managing production employees in a fast-paced, high volume, non-union, manufacturing environment. You will lead a team to identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues. Most importantly, you will be responsible for creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce. This is an active position with 100% of time being on the plant floor (standing, walking, climbing stairs).Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plant production operations, supervision, employee development, and progressive discipline. Most importantly, he/she will have a proven track record of mentorship and team building. Primary responsibilities include:Assist with production goals and communicate the goals to the production staffAbility to communicate with all levels of the organizationOversee and coach employeesIdentify issues in efficiency and suggest improvementsCheck production output according to specificationsMake sure that employees are trained/cross-trained and understand and follow work instructionsWork on continuous improvement and efficiency of each operationEnforce safety guidelines and company standardsThe position is very hands-on, and supervisors are usually on the plant floor about 100% of the shiftAbility to directly supervise 20+ employees in the manufacturing departmentKey qualifications:5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting requiredProven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communications skills are necessary for success in this positionKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaAssociates degree preferredFood safety training will be provided and is not required for employmentEnglish-Spanish bilingual is a bonusPhysical requirements:Must be comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, and humid conditionsAble to climb stairs multiple times daily, conduct detailed equipment inspections, and lift up to 50 poundsAt EW Grobbel, here are just some of the benefits you'll enjoy:The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. 2nd and 3rd shift receive a 10% shift premium.Medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefitsPaid holidays & vacation timeQuarterly bonusesMatching contribution to 401 (k) planNormal work week is Monday – FridayIndividual leadership developmentAbout EW GrobbelEW Grobbel is a family food company established in 1883.
