Production Supervisor

Supervisor - Production III Our client, an automotive company, is looking for a Supervisor - Production III for their Redford, MI location. Responsibilities include: Implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances. Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products. Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. Requirements include: Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred. 5-7 years experience required. Demonstrated experience leading people in a production or manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of assembly operations and logistics. Experience working with or within a UAW environment the organization places a strong emphasis on building and maintaining a trust-based relationship with its UAW workforce. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenges in real time on the production floor. Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage conflict constructively. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of quality metrics and production processes. Education: Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or associate's degree with 5+ years of experience, or high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of experience. Why should you apply?
