We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Fenton, MI. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food production. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Help develop new menu items and recipes in collaboration with the culinary team. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and performance. Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Creativity and passion for food and cooking. Relevant culinary degree or certification preferred.
