BartenderJob Title: BartenderReports To: General ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: A bartender is a person who serves beverages, behind a bar. A bartender's work is to tend, mix and serves cocktails and other drinks, mainly alcoholic beverages to guests.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Selling of alcoholic drinks to guests.Serving guests.Record sales and takes payments from the guests.Keep the bar well stocked by maintaining the beer, wine, liquor, garnishes and glasses at the bar.Refuse to serve guests that have had too much to drink.Call taxi cabs for those that are inebriated.Keeping records of tabs so in the end they can know how much a guest has had and what is to be paid.Pour drinks quickly and as per the guest's specifications.Keeps the bar clean.Pours and Dispenses Alcoholic Beverages to Legal age guests. Checks IDs of all guests that look 30 years or younger.Rotates and restocks bar coolers, with inventory from walk-in cooler. Restocks bar supplies, such as dry goods, all glassware, all juices, sodas, and garnishes.Reads and fills order from serversGreets guests in a friendly fashion, with world-class service in mind.Fulfills carryout orders for guestsCashier responsibilities.Performs all side duties as assignedCompetency:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Skills – Bartender must be able to mix drinks according to drink recipes and requirements.Guest Service - Responds promptly to guest needs.Interpersonal – Provides a friendly and hospitable service to guests.Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and listens to guests; responds well to questions.Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments.Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
