(Insurance) Customer Service/Sales Representative

Overview Join an American Family Insurance agency as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) and be the friendly, professional first point of contact for our clients. In this role, you’ll support existing policyholders, assist with service and billing questions, help maintain accurate policy records, and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience by phone, email, and in person. This paid position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working in a fast‑paced office environment. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to American Family Insurance customers via phone, email, and in person. Answer multi‑line phone systems promptly and route calls/messages accurately. Support policy servicing needs such as basic policy updates, ID cards, evidence of insurance requests, billing questions, and general account assistance (based on licensing/authority). Schedule appointments and coordinate calendars using office tools and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office. Enter and maintain customer information accurately in agency management/CRM systems. Proofread correspondence and assist with document processing, scanning, and filing. Support retention efforts by identifying customer needs and connecting them with the appropriate agent/licensed team member. Assist with general administrative duties (copying, printing, mail, organization) to keep the office running smoothly. Maintain a professional front‑desk environment and greet walk‑in clients warmly. Preferred Qualifications / Requirements Prior experience in customer service, insurance service, reception, or office administration. Preferred : Active Property & Casualty (P&C) and life insurance license. Willingness to obtain required insurance licensing within a specified timeframe if not currently licensed (preferred). Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential customer information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace. Excellent communication skills, strong phone etiquette, and a positive, service‑first mindset. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently in a team environment.
