Position: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 1st shift schedule!! Starting wage is $17.00 per hour Primary Function of Receiving Clerk: Responsible for managing incoming deliveries by unloading, inspecting, and signing for shipments. The clerk must verify correct product is received and entered into the ERP system accurately. Works collaboratively with Quality, Operations and Purchasing to resolve part and product issues.

Major Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Unload material from delivery trucks via hand, pallet jack and forklift
• Report any damage on the paperwork before the carrier leaves and report to Purchasing
• Verify correct product and quantities are received and report any discrepancies to Purchasing
• Label product according to process
• Match shipments to their appropriate purchase orders and receive into ERP system
• Maintain a neat and orderly dock
• Tasks as assigned by the Receiving Manager
• Actively participate in process improvement and problem resolution with manager
• Comply and assist with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and the pursuit of continuous improvement.

Required education, skills, abilities, and experience:

• Requires a high school diploma/GED
• Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred but NOT required.
• Experience using inventory control systems/ERP systems preferred but NOT required.
• Basic math and organizational skills
• Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more and stand for long periods of time
• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills are essential
• Safety oriented (this is crucial!)
