Irrigation Plumber/Welder/Fabrication The primary responsibility of this role is welding aluminum irrigation piping and fittings using TIG welding. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on customer needs. Our fabrication process utilizes multiple metal types and welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and SMAW. Daily tasks include a variety of welding and fabrication projects to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is a fast and flexible learner, and can adapt to the diverse needs of our customers. Irrigation Construction / General Laborer Join our team and contribute to the essential work of installing and maintaining irrigation systems. As a General Laborer, you’ll engage in consistent outdoor physical labor, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools to assist in the assembly of irrigation components and the upkeep of job sites. This role demands a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members. Dependability is key, as you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to our high standards. Parts Dept/Retail/Online Sales This position encompasses comprehensive parts department operations, requiring the individuals to manage both customer-facing and logistical aspects. Responsibilities include direct customer service, such as troubleshooting, order fulfillment, and information verification, alongside essential operational tasks like shipping and receiving, inventory management, and maintaining yard cleanliness. Apply your electrical expertise to the critical task of maintaining and upgrading irrigation systems. As a Licensed Electrician, you’ll install and service 3-phase electrical components, diagnose and resolve electrical issues, and work with VFDs to ensure the efficient operation of agricultural equipment. This role demands a strong understanding of electrical principles, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. You’ll work outdoors, directly contributing to the productivity of local farms and utilizing your skills in a vital industry. Electrical Technician does not require a license. Well Driller This role is responsible for drilling wells (8”-24”), welding steel and stainless steel, and mobilizing/demobilizing well drilling equipment. Additional duties may include on-site equipment maintenance and repair, and well rehabilitation tasks (e.g., acid work, well scrubbing). This position may require long hours and Saturday work during peak seasons. Experience preferred. HDPE Fusing – Experience Preferred Fusing poly-pipe (HDPE) to connect irrigation plumbing both indoors and outdoors. Working as a team and occasionally independently to complete projects in a timely manner that exceeds the customers’ standards and expectations. The Sales Consultant will collaborate with businesses and individuals to develop and implement strategies that enhance customer relationships, project management, and project design, while optimizing overall efficiency. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong customer service background. Familiarity with agricultural services is a plus. Pump Installer Installation and repair of line shaft / submersible turbine pumps and centrifugal pumps throughout Wisconsin’s agricultural fields. Working as a team to complete projects in a timely manner that exceeds the customer’s standards and expectations. In this department it is critical that we provide timely repairs, which can entail long hours and some Saturdays, especially when it is hot and dry. For over 65 years, Roberts Irrigation has been integral in advancing water application methods, transitioning from heavy steel pipes to modern systems like center-pivot irrigation. Today we continue to focus on field irrigation, high capacity well drilling and water application for our agricultural and industrial clients, all serviced by our staff of 45 professionals. Position Summary Controller to process and review all financial, month end financial statements, payroll, check runs and ad hoc reporting. Your analysis will be utilized by the leadership team for the decision-making processes. Qualified candidates will have advanced skills in analyzing data, math, spreadsheets and be able to communicate effectively with management, various departments, and other stakeholders. The Role Will Focus Heavily On Member of Roberts Irrigation leadership team. Owning the full month-end and year-end close process, financial reporting, audit preparation, and yearly budgeting and AOP strategy. Managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to help guide business decisions. Overseeing cash flow, invoicing, payroll reporting, and credit/collections processes. Providing oversight of capital expenditures and helping prioritize investments. Leading A/R and A/P functions and ensuring strong internal controls and compliance. Supports risk management initiatives and strengthening financial processes. Preparing weekly, monthly, and annual reporting for leadership. Purchasing and Inventory Control leader. Information Technology leader, organizational IT support through 3 rd party supplier, lead ERP optimization. Manage and mentor a team of 4 team members. Support other team members and be an extension of the HR function in the organization when necessary. Key Responsibilities Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements, contributing to transparent and sound financial practices. Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Process/oversight of payroll, AP, AR and other general accounting duties. Prepare and compile monthly financial statements. Reconcile bank statements and credit card deposits. Work with tax accountants on tax returns and provide backup documentation. Assist with insurance renewals and maintaining licenses. Provides timely and accurate reporting to the Board and Management. Budget Coordination: Collaborate in the budgeting process, including forecasting, and helping manage financial goals and expectations. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations, maintaining company integrity. Team Collaboration: Engage with various departments to support cross-functional alignment, promoting a cohesive work environment. Embrace growth opportunities within the organization. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally with experience in agriculture, construction, or a related industry. Proven record of leading organizations through growth, operational efficiency, and financial success. Strong financial acumen with experience in capital planning and business scaling. CPA certification preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills (Open Communication). Experience with risk management and audit preparation.
