Description

• Assess patients across various age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans aimed at meeting both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Administer personalized speech therapy interventions focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to build cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to encourage progress during non-clinical hours.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the treatment journey.
• Maintain organized and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Participate in continuing education and peer discussions to remain current with emerging trends in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
