SUPERVISING DENTIST, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

Supervising Dentist, Correctional Facility Location: Mule Creek State Prison, Ione, CA. Term: 12‑month limited term, may be extended to 24 months or become permanent. Salary: $27,380 – $34,643 per month. Responsibilities Supervise and oversee the work of the dentists, CF, and supervising dental assistant (SDA), CF within the institution. Ensure compliance with Inmate Dental Services Program (IDSP) policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations. Provide leadership, chart reviews, training, clinical instruction, and guidance to clinical staff. Operate under the clinical direction of the Regional Dental Director and the administrative direction of the Health Program Manager III. Minimum Qualifications Legal requirements for practice of dentistry in California, as determined by the California Board of Dental Examiners. Graduation from an approved dental school. Either: Two (2) years of professional dental experience in a California State Institution; or Three (3) years of experience in the practice of dentistry, including at least one (1) year on a hospital or clinic staff or in the armed services.
