Senior Accountant

We are partnered with an exciting nonprofit organization. The position is five days a week in the office with some flexibility as need.
- Compensation range: 80-90k
- Prepare and submit monthly grant reimbursement invoices in accordance with contract terms and reporting deadlines
- Record banking transactions weekly to maintain an accurate cash position
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries with supporting documentation
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain prepaid and fixed asset records; ensure amortization and depreciation are recorded
- Record grants, contributions, contract revenue, and other revenue transactions
- Monitor accounts receivable balances
- Support monthly financial close and prepare schedules for management and external stakeholders
- Serve as backup to Accounts Payable
- Maintain and update SOPs for assigned responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and maintain accuracy across multiple workstreams
